Perisher PEAK Festival was scheduled for the June Long Weekend in 2020 and 2021.

Due to the current Covid-19 Pandemic the festival has been postponed to 2022.

PLEASE DO NOT SEND IN ANY ARTIST APPLICATIONS UNTIL WE RESOLVE THE FORMAT OF THE 2022 FESTIVAL.

Registrations for Perisher PEAK Festival are closed.

BACKGROUND

The Perisher Peak Festival is held in venues throughout Perisher Ski Resort during the opening weekend of the Australian snow season.

The festival begins on Friday afternoon and then continues at pace over Saturday and Sunday finishing with a Finale concert on Monday afternoon.

Artists will generally perform once per day. Concert performances range from 30 minutes to 90 minutes. Each artist will be scheduled for 3 to 5 performances in different venues around the Festival over the 4 days of the Festival.

FEES

Our artist budget is limited, so do not expect huge performance fees! Reasonable fees based on travel expenses and moderate performance payment will be expected, see the guideline below.

All fees quoted are to be totally inclusive of all costs such as GST, travel, visas, meals. There are no riders.

Backline is generally provided on the larger stages. Artists may still be expected to bring their own drum kits and amps.

Partners and children’s passes only will be provided. There are no passes provided for agents, other family members or friends.

    • Artist accepts responsibility for their own Public Liability Insurance. When performing you are a Festival service provider and as such are not covered by the Festival's public liability insurance.

    • Artist accepts responsibility for your Tax Obligations Superannuation and WorkCover requirements.

    • Artist accepts to provide their own equipment including guitar amps and drum kits. The Festival will assist with transport around the festival.

In general the Festival will program up to 3 or 4 performances per act, usually a combination of concerts, workshops and theme concerts over the 4 days of the festival. In general, concerts vary between 30 - 75 minutes, workshops 45 - 60 minutes and dance demonstrations 20 - 30 minutes:

    11. FESTIVAL DAYS AVAILABILITY
    The festival starts Friday afternoon with a couple of venues. Saturday and Sunday will be fully programmed. Monday will have a few venues and finish with a Finale Event. Please specify when you are available each day. It is expected that artists will be available for the whole festival. Remember the more flexible you are the better the chance to be utilised by the Festival Programmer.:

    13. ACCOMMODATION REQUIREMENTS
    Bed & Breakfast will be provided to the Artists. Accommodation for Partners will be $165 and $75 for children (3 nights bed & breakfast included). Accommodation may be share or bunk style and costs will be deducted from performance fee.

    In general, minimal fees and expenses are provided. Please INCLUDE ALL TRAVEL COSTS and GST in the fee if applicable and select payment option below.

    15. PAYMENT
    Payment will be made by cheque or direct deposit. Please select one option and nominate the name to which the cheque is to be made payable or Bank Account Details.

    OPTION 1: You are registered for GST and will supply a Tax Invoice with your ABN (stating GST has been included)
    OPTION 2: You are not registered for GST but have an ABN and will supply an Invoice (stating that no GST has been charged)
    OPTION 3: You do not have an ABN and have filled out the STATEMENT BY SUPPLIER FORM (see ABN info at top of page) and will forward it before payment.
    OPTION 4: You do not have an ABN or a STATEMENT BY SUPPLIER FORM and therefore understand that under PAYG legislation the Festival must withhold 48.5% from the fee and forward the same to the ATO on your behalf.

    About Performing at the Peak Festival

    Perisher Valley is about 500km south of Sydney, 210km south of Canberra and 800km north of Melbourne via Tumut.

    The Festival is presented by the Perisher Resorts Chamber of Commerce with the assistance of an experienced team led by David De Santi, the Artistic Director of the very successful Illawarra Folk Festival.

    ACCOMMODATION
    Bed and Breakfast for artists will be provided in the Perisher Valley in share style accommodation. Partners and children accommodation can also be arranged for an additional fee of $60/night for partners and $35/night per child. Accommodation will be available from Friday 5th June to Sunday 8th June 2020 (3 nights).

    ACCESS AND TRANSPORT
    It may be possible to drive up to the snowfield but it is recommended that artists park at the Bullocks Flat Skitube Terminal and use the Skitube. Access for the Skitube will be provided as well as all transport around the snow fields.

    If vehicle access to the mountain is allowed, dependent on snow falls and conditions, then parking will be available at the Smiggin Holes Carpark. Access will be via the National Park Entry and snow chains will be required. Parking at the Skitube Terminal will not require chains.

    Transport from these locations to accommodation will be arranged.

    The festival will also provide transport to and from venues. Transport requests must be made at least 4 hours prior to the required pickup time.

    ARTIST RESPONSIBILITIES
    Performers accept all responsibility for their Tax Obligations, Superannuation and WorkCover requirements.

    Artists are responsible for all their meals and drinks except for breakfast at the accommodation location.
