ABOUT PERFORMING AT THE FESTIVAL
The 11th Perisher Peak Festival will be held in venues throughout Perisher Ski Resort during the opening weekend of the 2019 Australian snow season. Perisher Valley is about 500km south of Sydney, 210km south of Canberra and 800km north of Melbourne via Tumut.
The Festival is presented by the Perisher Resorts Chamber of Commerce with the assistance of an experienced team led by Polly Armstrong and David De Santi, the Artistic Director of the very successful Illawarra Folk Festival.
The festival begins on Friday afternoon and then continues at pace over Saturday and Sunday finishing with a Finale concert on Monday afternoon. Artists will generally perform once per day. Concert performances range from 30 minutes to 90 minutes. Each artist will be scheduled for 3 to 5 performances in different venues around the Festival over the 4 days of the Festival. Backline is generally provided on the larger stages. Artists may still be expected to bring their own drum kits and amps.
Parents passes and sibling’s passes only will be provided. There are no passes provided for agents, other family members or friends.
ACCESS AND TRANSPORT
It may be possible to drive up to the snowfield but it is recommended that artists park at the Bullocks Flat Skitube Terminal and use the Skitube. Access for the Skitube will be provided as well as all transport around the snow fields.
If vehicle access to the mountain is allowed, dependent on snow falls and conditions, then parking will be available at the Smiggin Holes Carpark. Access will be via the National Park Entry and snow chains will be required. Parking at the Skitube Terminal will not require chains.
Transport from these locations to accommodation will be arranged.
The festival will also provide transport to and from venues. Transport requests must be made at least 4 hours prior to the required pickup time.
ARTIST RESPONSIBILITIES
Performers accept all responsibility for their Tax Obligations, Superannuation and WorkCover requirements.
Artists are responsible for all their meals and drinks except for breakfast at the accommodation location.
